# Zapier

> Trigger Zaps from messaging events without writing code.

If your platform offers the Zapier app, you can connect it from **Integrations → Zapier** in your dashboard and pick events as Zap triggers. You do not need anything on this page to use Zapier normally.

## How it works

Zapier subscribes to events with REST hooks under `https://app.example.com/zapier`. The key it uses needs the `salesbot:zapier:hooks` permission.

| Request | What it does |
| - | - |
| `GET /zapier/me` | Checks the connection and lists the available events. |
| `POST /zapier/subscribe` | Subscribes a `target_url` to an `event`. Returns `201` with the hook `id` (or `200` if it already existed). |
| `POST /zapier/unsubscribe` | Removes the hook with the given `id`. |
| `GET /zapier/sample/{event}` | Returns a sample payload so you can map fields in the Zap editor. |

Errors you may see: `unknown_event`, `invalid_target_url`, `too_many_hooks` and `zapier_not_connected`.

<Tip>
  For your own code, use [webhooks](/webhooks/overview) instead. They are signed, retried and have a delivery history.
